How to cancel individual tickets in an order?

At times, event organizers may need to cancel only specific attendees or selected tickets within an order. You can cancel individual tickets within an order, while still keeping the rest of the registration intact. This process is useful when, for example, only a few attendees in a group need to cancel their registration.

Partial cancellation may not be available for orders processed using discount codes or applied with group discounts

Steps to cancel individual tickets in an order

Begin by signing in to your Organizer account

After logging in, go to the Event > Registration, then click on View Orders. This will take you to a page displaying all the orders for your event.

On the View Orders page, locate the specific order reference number (Order Ref No.) for the order where you want to cancel individual tickets. You can either browse through the list or use the search functionality to quickly find the order by entering the order reference number.

Click on the Order ref no. of the respective order to open the order details page. This will show the complete details of the registration, including all attendees and the tickets associated with the order.

Within the order details, you will see a list of the attendees and tickets for the selected order.

Find the attendee name or ticket that you wish to cancel and select it.

Once you've selected the attendee or ticket to cancel, click on the 'Cancel selected attendee(s)' button. This will initiate the cancellation for the selected individual or ticket.

A pop-up will appear asking you to enter a reason for the cancellation. This information helps keep a record of why the cancellation was made.

After entering the reason, click 'Cancel selected seats' to complete the process.

The Eventzilla fee is non-refundable in the event of a partial cancellation of paid tickets, such as canceling certain paid tickets within an order.

What happens after cancellation?

Email notification to the buyer: Once the cancellation is processed, the buyer will receive an email notification informing them about the canceled ticket(s) or attendee(s). The email will confirm that the selected seats or attendees have been canceled and provide any other relevant details about the process.

If a refund is due for the canceled paid ticket(s), it will be processed according to your event’s refund policy. Please note that any applicable cancellation fees may be deducted from the refund amount.


Partial cancellations: If only some of the tickets in an order are canceled (a partial cancellation), the other attendees and tickets in the order will remain active. This allows you to cancel individual tickets without affecting the rest of the registration.
