How to redirect attendees to your website/blog after registration?
As an event organizer, you may want to redirect attendees to a specific webpage, such as your website, blog, or a related resource, after they complete their registration. This feature allows you to provide attendees with additional information or next steps once their registration is confirmed, all through a simple link displayed on the confirmation page.
This article will guide you through the steps to enable the redirect to a custom URL and how to set it up so that attendees are directed to your chosen webpage after completing the registration.
Redirect After Registration: This redirect feature applies only after the registrant has completed their registration and reached the confirmation page.
Why redirect attendees?
Redirecting attendees to your website or blog can serve several purposes:
Provide additional event details: You can direct them to a page with event logistics, FAQs, or preparation instructions.
Promote related content: Direct attendees to blog posts, videos, or other resources related to your event.
Lead them to your website: Share your website to encourage them to explore more about your organization or upcoming events.
You can specify any webpage URL for redirection, whether it is your website's homepage, a blog post, or a custom thank-you page. Make sure the URL is accurate to avoid broken links.
How to redirect attendees to a Custom URL?
Follow these steps to set up the redirect link that will be shown to attendees on the confirmation page after they complete their registration:
Start by going to the Registration >Ticket/Registration. This section allows you to configure different aspects of your event’s registration process.
Look for the option labeled "Enable redirect to custom URL".
This is where you will enable the feature that allows attendees to be redirected to a custom URL after completing their registration.
Toggle this option and once the redirect option is enabled, you will be prompted to "Add the URL" where you want to redirect the attendees. This can be the link to your website, blog, or any other webpage you want the registrants to visit.
Enter the full URL of the webpage in the provided field. Make sure the URL is correct and starts with "http://" or "https://".
After entering the custom URL, make sure to click "Save" to apply the changes.
The "Return to the event website" is a link that will route the attendees to the updated event page URL.
By following the simple steps in this article, you can easily set up the redirect to a custom URL and enhance the post-registration experience for your attendees.
