How to toggle event visibility on the Eventzilla directory page?

Choose the option to list your event publicly in the Eventzilla directory and its partner directories for increased exposure. If you want your event to be visible to a wider audience or if you prefer it to be private, you can toggle this setting based on your needs.

What does listing the event in the directory mean?

When you enable the option to list your event publicly in the Eventzilla directory and its partner directories, your event will become visible on Eventzilla’s public directory page.

This exposure can help your event attract more attendees by making it easier for people to discover your event through directory listings.

When should you toggle this option?

Public events: If your event is open to the public and you want to attract more attendees, it is recommended to toggle this setting on. Listing your event in the public directory helps expose it to a larger audience who may be interested in attending.

Private or limited-visibility events: If your event is private, by invitation only, or you don’t want it to be visible to the public, you should leave this option unchecked. This ensures your event will not appear in the public directory, keeping it hidden from anyone who is not specifically invited.

How to toggle the event directory visibility?

Start by logging into the organizer account

From your dashboard, navigate to the "Event Setup" section.

In "Event Details" section, scroll down to see a checkbox labeled "List this event publicly in Eventzilla and its partner directories for increased exposure."

    • If you want your event to be visible in the directory, check the box.
    • If you do not want the event to be displayed in the directory (keeping it private), uncheck the box.

Once you’ve made your selection, be sure to click the "Save" button to apply the changes.

After saving, you can preview your event to ensure the visibility settings are as you intended. If you checked the box, your event should now be listed on the public directory. If unchecked, it will remain hidden.

Depending on whether your event is public or private, you can easily manage the visibility of your event in the Eventzilla directory.
