Can an organizer reinstate a cancelled order?

At times, organizers may encounter situations where an order was canceled by mistake. This could happen if a buyer accidentally canceled their booking, or if an email request to reinstate the order was missed. Unfortunately, currently system does not allow the reinstatement of a canceled order directly from the organizer’s account.

However, there are still a few options available for you to handle such situations and ensure your attendees can still participate in your event.

In this article, we’ll explain the available steps you can take to reinstate a canceled order.

Cancellations are final: Once an order is canceled, the system does not allow it to be restored to its original status, however the options mentioned here will ensure that the attendee can still be registered for your event.

Options to reinstate a canceled order

There are several ways to handle a situation where an order needs to be reinstated:

Rebook the ticket manually

If you want to reinstate the canceled order for your buyer, you can manually rebook the ticket for them by following these steps:

  1. Go to the "Add More Attendees" section in your event dashboard.
  2. Manually register the attendee by entering the necessary details (such as name, email, ticket type, etc.) as if they are a new registration.
  3. This will create a new order for the attendee, and they will receive a confirmation email with the updated details.

Ask the buyer to place a new order

Alternatively, you can ask the buyer to go ahead and place a new order for the event:

  1. Direct the buyer to the event page or website where they can register again.
  2. Once they place the new order, they will receive a confirmation email, and the new order will be processed as usual.
