Steps to customize the order confirmation email for buyer
When a registrant successfully completes their event registration, they automatically receive an order confirmation email.
In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to customize both the buyer's confirmation emails, ensuring that you can include any additional notes or details relevant to your event.
Steps to customize the order confirmation email
Go to the Registration > Confirmation Email. This is where you can configure the email content that will be sent to both buyers and attendees.
Click on "For Buyer / Registrant" tab
The Buyer / registrant confirmation email is the email sent to the person who completes the registration. Here’s how to customize it:
Email subject
Edit the subject line of the confirmation email to reflect your event. This will be the first thing the recipient sees in their inbox.
Customize heading
You can change the email’s header to align with your event’s theme or messaging.
Display link to download PDF receipt
Check the box to allow the buyer to download a PDF receipt for their order.
PDF ticket customization: If your event provides PDF tickets, you can customize what information appears in the PDF receipt, including:
Billing details: This will display on the PDF receipt and includes the buyer’s billing information.
Business address: If you want to display the organizer’s business address on the PDF, add it here.
Business registration details: You can include tax IDs, business registration numbers, and other relevant business information.
Recipient company & billing address: You can also choose to display the recipient’s company and billing address on the PDF ticket.
Custom content block You can add a custom content block in the confirmation email for more personalized messaging, such as reminders, links to event resources, or additional instructions.
Branding/Look & Feel
Cover image: Display event cover image at the top of the confirmation email to make it more visually appealing and on-brand.
Organizer’s social links: You can include links to your event or company’s social media accounts to encourage engagement.
Information for attendees
Specify the specific information sent to the attendee
Attach consolidated PDF of tickets: Attach a PDF that includes tickets for all attendees in a single document, making it easier for them to access and manage their tickets.
Display location map: Show a map of the event location to help attendees navigate to the venue.
Allow saving event date to personal calendars: Enable a feature that allows attendees to save the event date directly to their personal calendars (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, etc.).
Link to registrant self-service Tool: If you’ve enabled a self-service portal, include a link in the email so attendees can view or update their registration details.
Attachments:
You can also add attachments to the confirmation email, such as PDFs, JPGs, PNGs, or DOC files. The file size limit is 2MB, so ensure the files are within this size restriction.
After customizing all the necessary sections, click save changes to apply your edits. This will ensure that all future order confirmation emails reflect the new settings.
Reset changes -If the customization specification needs to be retained in its original form, please click on "Reset changes".
Live preview feature
As you make edits or customizations to the confirmation email, you can instantly see how your changes will appear to the recipients. The Live Preview feature provides a real-time view of your email customizations, displayed on the right side of the page. This allows you to review the content, layout, and formatting before saving the changes, ensuring that the final email looks exactly how you want it. With the Live Preview, you can easily fine-tune your email and ensure that all information is presented clearly and professionally.
