How to Collect Event Payments Using PayPal
This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your PayPal account to Eventzilla, enabling you to collect payments for tickets sold for your event. PayPal is one of the most widely used and trusted payment options globally, offering a secure and convenient way to process transactions.

Flexible payment options: With PayPal, your attendees can pay using major credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, or directly from their PayPal balance if they have one. This gives your attendees more options to pay for their registrations.
Instant Deposits: When attendees pay for their tickets, the funds are directly deposited into your PayPal account. Eventzilla will automatically deduct its processing fee from this amount.
How to connect PayPal
Follow these steps to link your PayPal account :
Log in to your organizer account.
Navigate to Account settings > Connected accounts > Payment processing.
Under the PayPal logo, click the "Connect now" button.
You will be redirected to the PayPal website.
Enter the email address associated with your PayPal account and select your country.
On the next screen, enter your PayPal account password.
Click Log In to complete the authentication process.
Once authentication is successful, you will see a confirmation message and a button to "Return to Eventzilla."
After successfully connecting your PayPal account, you will see the PayPal merchant ID added to your account settings page.
The "Active since" date will indicate when your PayPal account was successfully linked.

Remove a PayPal account
To remove a PayPal account, click the bin icon next to the respective PayPal account details.
Add multiple PayPal accounts
You can connect multiple PayPal accounts to manage payments for different events or registration types.
How do I add Paypal to my event?
Once you have successfully linked your Paypal account to your Eventzilla account, you will have the ability to designate Paypal as the online payment method when creating or editing any of your events. Be sure to select the Paypal option on the Event Setup > Payment Methods page of the event.
PayPal processing fees
PayPal charges a fee for processing payments, which typically includes a percentage of the transaction amount plus a fixed fee. For example, in the United States, PayPal generally charges 2.99% + $0.49 per transaction for online payments.
