Self-Service Capabilities for Registrants

Eventzilla offers organizers the flexibility to enable Self-Service Capabilities for registrants, allowing them to manage their own registration details and session selections. This feature is particularly useful for attendees who need to update their information or make changes to their free session registrations. Below, we’ve provided a detailed guide on how to enable and configure these capabilities for your event.

What are self-service capabilities for registrants?

Self-Service Capabilities empower registrants to:

Edit registration details: Update their responses to registration form fields (e.g., name, email, contact information).

Edit or register for free sessions: Modify their session selections or register for new sessions, if the sessions are free.

These capabilities are available on the Attendee Self-Service Portal, giving registrants the convenience to manage their own details without requiring organizer intervention.

How to enable self-service capabilities

Access the Registration Form Settings

Log in to your Eventzilla account and navigate to the event dashboard.

Go to Registration > Registration Form. This is where you can customize the registration form and configure self-service options.

In the Registration Form toggle on the option labeled Allow registrants to edit registration details using the self-service portal.

When enabled, registrants will be able to edit their registration details and session selections (for free sessions) on the Attendee Self-Service Portal.

To prevent last-minute changes, you can set a deadline for when registrants can make edits. Here’s how:

Toggle on the option Set an end date for making changes using Attendee Self-Service.

Click on the calendar icon to pick a date. This will be the last day registrants can edit their details or session selections.

Once the date passes, registrants will no longer be able to make changes through the Self-Service Portal.

After enabling the self-service options and setting an end date (if applicable), click Save Changes to apply the settings.
