Accessing the Host/Backstage View for Sessions in Eventzilla Studio
This article explains how event organizers can access the host view or "backstage" area for their live sessions within the Eventzilla Studio environment using the Preview Hub URL. This backstage view, powered by Eventzilla Stream, allows hosts to manage and monitor their sessions before they go live to attendees.
Understanding the Host/Backstage View
- Preview your sessions: See exactly what attendees will see when the session goes live.
- Test your setup: Ensure your audio, video, and screen sharing are working correctly before the session begins.
- Prepare speakers: Communicate with speakers and panelists before they go live.
- Initiate sessions: Start the live broadcast of your sessions to attendees.
- Manage speakers: Designate and enable speakers to present during the session.
Steps to Access the Host View
Two ways to access the backend view
Accessing via the Eventzilla Organizer Account
Log in to your Eventzilla Organizer Account:
In the event's setup menu under the "Event hub" section, click on "Overview". This page provides a summary of your event hub settings.
On the "Event Hub Overview" page, you will find a section or button labeled "Preview Event hub".
Clicking the button or link will open a new tab or window in your web browser. This new page will display the preview version of your Event Hub, allowing you to experience it from an attendee's perspective. You can navigate through the different sections and features to ensure everything is set up correctly.
Accessing via Direct Event Hub Link
Copy past the direct link to your Event Hub. This link is typically generated on the Event hub > Overview
You will be redirected to the Event Hub login page.
Enter your registered organizer email address and password to log in.
Upon successful login, you will be granted access to the backend or preview view of your Event Hub. You can now navigate and review the different elements and functionalities as they will appear to your attendees.
You can easily access the backend (preview) view of the Event Hub to review the setup, content, and overall attendee experience before the event goes live. This allows for necessary adjustments and ensures a smooth and engaging experience for your attendees.
View Sessions as Host (Backstage):
The Preview Event Hub URL is your backstage pass. Within this preview environment, navigate to the specific session you want to manage.
You will be able to view the session interface through Eventzilla Stream, seeing the controls and options available to the host. This is the same view that attendees will eventually see when the session goes live, but in the preview, you have administrative control.
One Host Per Event: Eventzilla Studio designates a single host for the entire event. This host has the primary control over initiating sessions.
While there is only one designated host, this host has the ability to:
- Start the Session: Initiate the live broadcast of a particular session to the attendees.
If you encounter any difficulties accessing the preview hub or managing your sessions, please refer to other Eventzilla help articles or contact our support team for further assistance.
