Accessing and Participating in Event Hub Sessions as a Speaker in Eventzilla Studio
This article outlines the steps for speakers to access and participate in their assigned sessions within the Eventzilla Studio environment. Speakers can join sessions either through their dedicated speaker profile or by directly accessing the Event Hub link.
Accessing via Speaker Profile
Log in to your Speaker profile
Enter your unique speaker credentials (username/email and password). This is the email address registered for the speaker profile and the password set.
Once logged in to your speaker profile, look for a button or link that says "Go to Event hub", click on this button/link. This will redirect you to the main Event Hub interface for the event.
Access your assigned sessions:
Within the Event Hub, navigate to the section where the event schedule or list of sessions is displayed.
Locate the specific session(s) you are scheduled to speak in. These sessions will likely be highlighted or easily identifiable for speakers.
Click on the session to enter the session interface within Eventzilla Studio. This will be labeled as "Enter Studio"
Direct Access via Event Hub Link
Open the direct event hub link on your device
You will be directed to the Event Hub login page. Here, enter your unique speaker credentials (username/email and password).
Once logged in, navigate to the event schedule or list of agenda.
Locate your scheduled session(s) and click on the corresponding link "Enter Studio"
Participating in the Session within Eventzilla Studio
Once you have successfully accessed your session within the Eventzilla Studio, you will see the following controls and features:
Camera and Microphone Permissions
Upon entering the studio, the system will likely request permission to access your computer's camera and microphone.
Click "Allow" to grant the necessary permissions so that you can be seen and heard by the attendees.
Mute All
You may see a "Mute all" button.
Functionality: Clicking this will mute all participants currently in the session. Use this to manage background noise or when you need to present without interruptions.
People
Clicking on the "People" icon will display a list of all individuals who have joined the session, including other speakers and attendees.
Raise hand
While this is primarily a feature for attendees to ask questions, you might see a "Raise hand" icon. Be aware of its presence and how it might be used by participants for clarification.
Share
The "Share" button or icon is crucial for presenting your content.
Functionality: Clicking "Share" will give you options to share your:
Entire screen: This will share everything visible on your monitor.
Specific window: You can choose a particular application window to share (e.g., a presentation software window).
Chat/People/Q&A:
On the right side of the screen, you will typically find three tabs or options:
- Chat: This allows you to communicate via text messages with other participants in the session.
- People: As mentioned earlier, this shows the list of attendees and other speakers.
- Q&A: This section is dedicated to questions and answers. Attendees can submit questions here, and you (or the moderator) can address them.
Filtering (Entire Event/Particular Session)
The Chat and Q&A functionalities have filters that allow you to view messages and questions either for the entire event or specifically for the particular session you are currently in. Ensure you have the correct filter selected to see relevant communications.
Quick Chat Box:
- At the bottom right of the screen, there will be chat input box.
Functionality: Use this to quickly type and send a message to the entire group in the session.
Leave:
When your speaking engagement is complete or you need to exit the session, click on the "Leave" button. This will remove you from the live session.
