Cancel Order Without Refund
Event organizers can cancel an order without automatically processing a refund. This option provides greater flexibility when managing registrations, especially in cases where a refund is not required or will be handled separately outside the platform.
Organizers can now choose whether to cancel the order with or without issuing a refund.
This feature helps organizers manage scenarios such as administrative cancellations, duplicate registrations, or cases where refunds are processed through other arrangements.
Supported Payment Methods
The Cancel Order Without Refund option is currently available for orders processed using the following payment gateways:
- Eventzilla Payments (Finix)
- Stripe

How It Works

When cancelling an order from the order management section, a confirmation popup will appear with an option labeled “Cancel and Refund.”
- By default, the “Cancel and Refund” checkbox will be selected.
- Please uncheck the “Cancel and Refund” box, the system will cancel the order only, and no refund will be initiated.
This gives organizers the flexibility to control how cancellations are handled.
Attendees will receive a cancellation notification email confirming that their order has been cancelled.
If the refund option was not selected, the email will only indicate the cancellation and will not include refund details.
FAQs
Who can use this option?
This feature is available to organizers whose events use Eventzilla Payments (Finix), Stripe, or Square as the payment processor.
What happens if “Cancel and Refund” is left checked?
If the checkbox remains selected, the system will cancel the order and automatically process the refund to the original payment method.
Will attendees receive a notification?
Yes. Attendees will receive an email notification confirming that their order has been cancelled. If the refund option was not selected, the email will not mention any refund details.
Can a cancelled order be restored?
No. Once an order has been cancelled, the action cannot be reversed. If needed, the attendee will have to register again.
