Changes to Eventzilla Payments Service - November 15 2023

Starting from November 15, 2023, Eventzilla will no longer support payment processing using WePay.

Who does this impact?

The information in this article is relevant to you ONLY if you currently have an active WePay merchant account and are using it to process payments for your event through Eventzilla Payments service.


We are currently working on, and will soon be announcing news about a new and improved payment solution, which will replace the current service provided in partnership with WePay. Starting from November 15, 2023, Eventzilla will no longer support payment processing using WePay.


Here are answers to some questions you might have:


What happens to my WePay account after November 15th?

You will not be able to process any payments through WePay on Eventzilla after 15th November. However, you will still be able to access your WePay Merchant Center even after this date. WePay will send you a separate notification with more details. If there are any specific questions or concerns, you can contact support@wepay.com.


Will there be a disruption to the Eventzilla Payments service?

We assure you that we will provide a smooth transition path for all existing users to ensure minimal disruption. Please do check our new Eventzilla payments newly launched with the seamless integration to process online payments for the event.


What other payment methods can I use to sell tickets via Eventzilla?

You can try our new Eventzilla payments option, click the link here for more details. You may want to consider using our payment integrations with other payment providers like PayPal, Stripe, Square, or Authorize.net. Most of these platforms offer free account setups and have comparable payment processing charges. Please visit their respective websites for fee details.


Will this affect other payment services such as Stripe, PayPal etc within Eventzilla?

No. If you currently using any payment method other the Eventzilla Payments (through WePay) to collect payments for your current and future events, there will be no impact on your events. Our integrations with all payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, Braintree and EWay are unaffected and will continue to help you collect payments from your events on Eventzilla.
