Steps to add a cover image for the event

Follow the steps here to add the cover image for an event

Log-in to the organizer account, go to Event set up > Design and Layout. This section allows you to customize the appearance of your event pages.

In the Design and Layout section, check the option "Add a cover image for your event" Click on it to proceed to the next step.


Two ways to upload the cover image


1. Browse our library

Search for images: Browse through a large library of images by searching across thousands of pre-uploaded background images. This is an excellent option if you don't have a custom image but want something that fits your event’s theme.

Quick search by category: To make the search process easier, use the quick search option. By entering the event category (e.g., “Music,” “Technology,” “Conference”), you can find images that best match the type of event you are hosting.

Select the image: Once you find the perfect image, simply click on it to select it. The image will automatically be set as the background for your event page.

  1. Upload your own image

If got a specific image to be used, you can upload it directly from your local device. To do this:

Click on "Choose a file from your computer": This option will open a file dialog box, allowing you to browse your local computer files.

Select your image: Find the image file you wish to upload from your local desktop or file location and select it. The image will be uploaded to your event page as the background.

Image specifications

To ensure the image displays properly on your event page, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Dimension: The recommended image size is 1366 x 610 pixels. This size ensures that the image fits well in the header area without distortion. Images with different dimensions may appear stretched or cropped.

File size: The maximum file size allowed for the cover image is 1 MB. Larger files may result in slower loading times and may not upload successfully. If your image is too large, consider compressing it or reducing the resolution.

Supported file formats: The accepted file formats for the cover image are:

    • JPG
    • JPEG
    • PNG
    • GIF

JPG and PNG formats are most commonly used and recommended for optimal quality and performance.

Tips for choosing the right cover image

Image quality: Always use high-quality images that look sharp on both desktop and mobile devices. Low-resolution images can appear pixelated or blurry, which might negatively affect the look of your event page.

Theme relevance: Choose an image that is relevant to the event’s nature. For example:

    • Music Festival: Choose vibrant, energetic images.
    • Business Conference: Opt for professional, sleek images.
    • Sports Event: Use action shots or team-related visuals.

Simple and clean: Avoid cluttered or overly complex images. A clean, simple background works best, as it ensures the text and other elements on your event page remain readable.

Mobile compatibility: Ensure the image works well on both desktop and mobile versions of the event page. You may want to preview how it looks on different screen sizes before finalizing your selection.
