How to Set Up Ticket Types that Require Pre-Approval
In certain cases, event organizers may need to check and screen registration information before an attendee can register for the event. This is similar to a screening process where the organizer reviews the attendee's registration information. Based on the verification outcome, they can either approve and allow the attendee to proceed with registration or deny the registration if the requirements are not met.
This article outlines the steps to configure pre-approval for specific ticket types in your event. This feature ensures that only qualified individuals can register for certain ticket categories.
Enabling Pre-Approval for a Ticket Category
Enabling this setting is quick and simple — just a single toggle allows you to gate access to your ticket category, ensuring only approved attendees can complete their registration.
To require organizer approval for a specific ticket type, follow the steps below
Click on Registration > Tickets/Registration > Edit.
Scroll down to the Advanced Settings section (if applicable).
Toggle the option "This ticket requires organizer approval."
Save Your Changes.
Customizing Approval Email Notifications
You can customize the messages sent to attendees throughout the approval process. This includes:
- Confirmation that their registration is pending approval.
- Notification when their registration is approved.
- Notification if their registration is declined.

Managing the Approval Queue
Once pre-approval is enabled, incoming registrations for that ticket type will be placed in an approval queue. From there, organizers can review each request and either approve or decline the registration.
