How to Set Up Ticket Types that Require Pre-Approval
In certain cases, event organizers may need to check and screen registration information before an attendee can register for the event. This is similar to a screening process where the organizer reviews the attendee's registration information. Based on the verification outcome, they can either approve and allow the attendee to proceed with registration or deny the registration if the requirements are not met.
This article outlines the steps to configure pre-approval for specific ticket types in your event. This feature ensures that only qualified individuals can register for certain ticket categories.
Steps to configure Pre-approval for ticket types
Navigate to the Event setup > Go to the Registration > Access Approval/Waitlist Settings
Click on the "Configure" button next to "Registration Pre-Approvals."
Configure the necessary details for the pop-up used in the approval queue registration.
You will now see options to manage which ticket types require pre-approval and customize the notification messages.
Filter ticket types:
All ticket types: Selecting this option will require pre-approval for every ticket type available for your event.
Selected ticket types: Choose this option if you want to apply pre-approval only to specific ticket types. A list of your ticket types will appear, allowing you to select the ones that require approval.
Configure Notification Messages for Attendees:
Customize the messages that attendees will receive at different stages of the pre-approval process.
- Submitted for pre-approval notification: This message is sent to the attendee immediately after their registration is submitted and placed in the approval queue. Use this message to inform them that their registration is under review and what the next steps might be.
- Registration release notification: This message is sent to the attendee once their registration has been successfully approved. Include information on how to proceed with completing their registration or accessing the event.
- Registration decline notification: This message is sent to the attendee if their registration is declined. Clearly state the reason for the decline and if there are any alternative options available.
Save changes: Once you have configured the ticket types and customized the notification messages, click on the "Save changes "button to implement the settings.
By following these steps, you can effectively set up ticket types that require pre-approval, ensuring that only eligible attendees can register for specific categories of your event.
This feature adds an extra layer of control and screening to your event registration process.
