Hide Seating Chart Display On Event Page
Overview
Organizer have ability to hide the reserved seating chart during the event registration process. This feature provides greater flexibility in how events are presented to attendees and is especially useful in scenarios where public seat selection is not needed or desired.
Whether you're testing event setup, preparing for a soft launch, or want to simplify the attendee experience, this option gives you full control over the visibility of your event's seating chart.
Why use the Hide Seating Chart option?
The ability to temporarily hide the seating chart can be beneficial in several situations:
✅ Pre-launch testing – Set up your event and test the registration flow without revealing seat options to the public.
✅ Soft launch – Launch an event privately before opening seating to all registrants.
✅ Simplified registration flow – Allow attendees to register without having to choose specific seats, reducing friction.
✅ Agency-managed assignments – Agencies can assign seats manually after registration based on internal logic or client preferences.
How it works?
A simple toggle is built into the seating chart settings. Here's how it functions:
Located under the seating chart configuration in the event setup.
Labeled as: “Seats will be assigned after registration”
When this option is enabled (ON):
- The seating chart is hidden from attendees during registration.
The registration proceeds just like a normal registration.
When this option is disabled (OFF):
- The seating chart is visible during the registration process.
- Attendees can select their own seats during checkout.
When the seating chart is hidden:
- Attendees complete registration without selecting seats.
- They receive confirmation of registration, but no seat number at that time.
