The Direct hotel booking option is a user-friendly feature designed to facilitate hotel accommodations for your event attendees. This option allows participants to search for and manage their own lodging near the event venue directly from their event confirmation page.
How to set up direct hotel booking?
Setting up the Direct Hotel Booking feature is straightforward. Follow these steps:
Access event settings:
- Navigate to Event Setup > Location/Venue in your event set up
Enable Accommodations:
- Turn on the option labeled "Accommodations / Lodging."
Select Direct Hotel Booking:
- Choose the first option: "Direct Hotel Booking (Simple)."
Access the accommodation settings
Once you have enabled the Direct Hotel Booking feature, you can customize the accommodation options:
Set the hotel rating filter:
Choose a minimum rating on a scale of 1 to 5. This ensures that only hotels meeting your standards are displayed. For instance, selecting a minimum of 3 stars will show only hotels rated 3 stars and above.
Select the price range:
Define the price range for hotel listings to ensure attendees see options that fit their budgets.
Preview hotel options:
The system will automatically generate a list of hotel options around the event venue based on the selected rating and price range. You can preview these options to ensure they meet your criteria.
Finalize and Publish
Save your changes:
Once you are satisfied with the settings, save your changes. The hotel booking options will then be integrated into your event’s confirmation page.
How attendees book their accommodations?
After completing their registration, attendees will be directed to a confirmation page that features
a curated list of nearby hotels that meet the criteria you have set (rating, price, proximity to the event).
Attendees can select their preferred hotel and book directly through the links provided. They will manage their own reservations, ensuring a seamless and straightforward process.
