Understanding Event Preview

Event organizers can utilize the preview option to quickly assess and experience their event as an attendee would. This allows them to ensure everything is set up correctly and provides a seamless registration process for attendees.

Provides organizers with the opportunity to experience the complete registration process flow before or after the event is published.

Here's how to use the preview option:

  1. Accessing the Preview Option:

    To access the test mode page, Organizers need to click on "Preview" after creating the event (in Draft/Published/Unpublished)


    • Navigate to Event Setup pages.
    • Click on "Preview."


      Viewing Event Page Sections:

      Once in preview mode, you can view all sections of the event page.

There is a note at the top conveying the user that "You are viewing this event in 'Preview' mode. In this mode, you can create test registrations only. View the event as an attendee," indicating that you are on the test mode.

  - Users can select ticket categories and proceed to checkout.


  • Completing Registration:

    • Select the desired ticket quantity.
    • Click on "Register now."
    • Fill in the required fields.
    • Note: No payment method will be displayed as this is a preview/test registration experience.
    • Click on "Complete Registration" .

      In the checkout page, you can can view and select add-ons, sessions, and apply promo codes as specified for the event. You may also verify the fee before and after the discount code is applied.

        - The payment section remains empty (Since it is a test mode ) users can complete the test registration process by clicking on the "Complete Registration" button.

        - Upon completion, users are directed to the Confirmation page with a message confirming the successful purchase of the test order.


Viewing Confirmation Page:

    • After completing the registration, you will be directed to the confirmation page layout.


This Preview mode gives an overview of the event sale page, checkout page, and confirmation page.

Notes:

    • No confirmation email receipt will be sent for this registration.
    • The preview URL is a long, exclusive link specific for the preview experience.

      Obtaining the Actual Event URL:


    • The actual event URL, to be shared with attendees, can be obtained in two ways:
      • Click on "View the Event as an Attendee" at the top of the page.
      • Copy the "Event Website Link" from the overview page.


By following these steps, event organizers can ensure that their event setup is accurate and provides a smooth registration experience for attendees.
