How to create and send certificates to the attendees?

Recognizing the dedication and commitment of your event attendees with certificates of participation or completion is a valuable way to express gratitude. Through the automated certificate generation feature, you can conveniently create and email personalized certificates to all your attendees. This resource will provide you with a comprehensive walkthrough of the process to design and send the certificates.

Design the certificates

Being by Log-in to your account > Event set up > Advanced settings > Participant certificates > Create certificates.


Certificate name

Enter a name for your certificate, such as "Certification of Completion" or "Certification of Attendance". This will be printed on the certificate sent to the attendees.

Select the design

Choose from the available templates that best suit your needs. Currently, there are two templates available, You can view the quick preview of the templates on the right side allowing to easily choose the once that is required for your event.

Organization name and Logo

Enter your organization’s name or upload your logo. These fields are optional but can add a professional touch to your certificates.


Customize certificate text

Text Above Name: Type the text you want to display above the awardee’s name.

Text Below Name: Add any additional information you want to display below the awardee’s name.

Add issuer’s name and signature

Include the name and signature of the certificate issuer. Note that you cannot display the signature alone; the name is also required. You can include up to two signatures per certificate.

Customize the certificate email content

When you generate certificates for your event attendees, you can customize the email that accompanies the certificate.

Email subject line

The subject line is the first thing your attendees will see when they receive their certificate. It should be clear, concise, and relevant to the event. A well-crafted subject line can increase the likelihood of the email being opened promptly. Please draft a subject line for the email that will is to be sent to your attendees.

Example for Subject Lines:

  • "Your Certificate of Completion for [Event Name]"
  • "Congratulations! Here’s Your Certificate for [Event Name]"
  • "Thank You for Attending [Event Name] - Your Certificate is Attached"

Email content

The email content should be professional, express gratitude, and provide any necessary instructions for accessing or printing the certificate. The certificate will be attached as a file to this email.

Ideas for email content:

  • Start with a personalized greeting
  • Acknowledgment of Participation
  • Briefly explain what the certificate represents (e.g., completion, participation, excellence).
  • Inform the attendee that the certificate is attached to the email and any steps they should take to access it.

Select recipients

Please indicate if you would like to distribute certificates to all attendees or exclusively to those holding a specific ticket type.


Schedule the certification emails

You have three options for scheduling the certification emails:

    • Send now: Immediate dispatch the certificates.
    • Send on completion of post-event survey: Schedule the email to be sent after attendees complete a post-event survey.
    • Send on: Choose a specific date and time to send the certificates.


Use the Preview email option to review the email before sending it to attendees.

As you fill out the information on the certificate template page, you can see a live preview of the certificate on the right side of the page. This ensures that the certificate looks exactly how you want it before finalizing.
