Understanding Event Hub status
When managing your Event Hub, it’s important to understand the different statuses that it can be in during various stages of its lifecycle. The status of your Event Hub helps you control its visibility and accessibility to both organizers and attendees.
Draft status
During the setup of your Event Hub, it will initially be in the Draft status. This is the preliminary phase where you can make configurations and adjust the settings before the hub goes live.
- You can set up your event details, upload content, and prepare all necessary components.
The hub is not visible to attendees during this phase.
Live status
Once your Event Hub is fully set up and you're ready to share it with attendees, you can publish it by toggling the status from Draft to Live.
- Your Event Hub becomes publicly visible, meaning that attendees can access it
- This is the official "Go Live" stage, where the hub is made available for public viewing and engagement.
Before toggling the hub to live, ensure all event details and content are final and correctly set up.
Unpublished status
If you need to temporarily hide the Event Hub from attendees or make changes, you can toggle it from Live to Unpublished.
- The Event Hub will no longer be accessible to attendees.
- Only the event organizer (you) will be able to access the hub.
- Attendees who were previously registered will no longer be able to view or interact with the hub unless it is re-activated.
Fees and the Unpublished Status
Even if the Event Hub is in the Unpublished status, fees for accessing the Event Hub will still be collected for any future registrations, as long as the Event Hub addon is enabled for the event.
If you wish to completely disable the Event Hub addon for this event (which would stop any future registration fees), you can do so by navigating to:
- Account Settings → Manage Plans & Addons → Click on "Disable" next to the respective event.
Reactivating the Event Hub
You can publish the hub again at any time by toggling the status from Unpublished back to Live. This will make the Event Hub accessible to your attendees once more.
Understanding and managing the different Event Hub statuses is crucial to controlling your event's visibility and accessibility. Whether you're setting up, publishing, or temporarily taking your hub offline, these status toggles give you full control over when and how your attendees interact with your event.
