How to specify ticket types for specific event dates in a recurring event?

When creating a recurring event, You can set up multiple event dates, also known as occurrences. Each of these occurrences functions as an individual event under one recurring event setup.

If your event requires different ticket types for specific event dates, we provide the flexibility to assign tickets to only certain occurrences. This ensures that attendees will only see tickets relevant to the event date they select.


Steps to asssign ticket types to specific event dates

Create tickets for your event

After setting up your recurring event, begin adding tickets for registration.

Access advanced options

While creating or editing a ticket, click on the Advanced Options section.

Set ticket availability for specific dates:

In the advanced settings, locate the option labeled "Does ticket/registration options change based on event dates?".

  1. Select Yes to enable this option.

    Once enabled, you can specify which event dates this particular ticket type will be available for.

  2. Choose the event dates that should display this ticket category.

Save your changes:

After selecting the relevant event dates for the ticket, click on Save to finalize your ticket settings.

How it works?

By specifying ticket availability for particular event dates, you ensure that the ticket category will only be visible when an attendee selects one of the specified dates. If the attendee chooses a different event date that does not correspond with the ticket, that ticket type will not be displayed during registration.

This feature is particularly useful when:

  • Different sessions or workshops have unique ticket types.
  • Pricing or availability changes based on the date of the event.
