How to create ticket types for your event?

What are ticket types?

Ticket types allow event organizers to offer different kinds of tickets or registrations for their events. Each ticket type can have unique prices, quantities, and availability, giving flexibility in how tickets are sold. For example, you might create separate ticket categories like "Adult" or "Child" to accommodate different attendee groups.

By using multiple ticket types, you can better manage your event’s audience and offer tailored pricing options to suit various attendee needs.

Ticket categories

  1. Paid Tickets:

These tickets are sold for a fixed price. Attendees must pay the set amount to register for the event.

  2. Free Tickets:

These tickets are available at no cost, allowing attendees to register for free.

  3. Donation Tickets:

This option allows attendees to choose the price they want to pay. It is ideal for fundraising or charitable events.

  1. Add-on Ticket/Merchandise:

These tickets are used for additional purchases, such as event merchandise or special services. These are offered as an add-on and mapped to the main ticket types.

Steps to create ticket types

When creating your ticket types, you have the option to do so during the event setup or by editing an existing event. It is also possible to modify or add new ticket types after the event has been established by accessing the event setup page and navigating to the "Registration - Ticket/Registration" section.

When creating a ticket type, ensure to select the appropriate category (Paid, Free, Donation, or Add-on Ticket). The process for creating Free/Paid ticket types generally remains the same, with the exception of a few specific fields.
