How to add tickets that are visible to admin only?
As an event organizer, there may be cases where you want certain ticket types to be available exclusively to your team and not visible to the public. These hidden tickets are useful for internal purposes, such as managing walk-in attendees, distributing complimentary tickets, or holding tickets for box office sales.
This feature allows event organizers to create ticket types that can only be accessed through the organizer account or mobile app. Attendees will not see these tickets on the public registration page, but they will remain available for administrative use.
When to use admin-only tickets
Walk-In attendees: For events where you expect on-site registrations, having admin-only tickets ensures that specific ticket types are reserved for attendees who arrive directly at the venue.
Exclusive roles for team users: You can assign specific team members the responsibility of registering attendees using these tickets.
Complimentary tickets: If you have free tickets reserved for certain individuals or groups, creating admin-only tickets ensures they remain available without being listed publicly.
Box office sales: For events with reserved or walk-up sales, you can keep a hidden batch of tickets to be sold only at the venue using the event organizer's account or mobile app.
Steps to create admin-only tickets
Follow the steps below to make a ticket category hidden from the public and accessible only to the admin for on-site sales or internal registration:
Create or edit a ticket
- Log in to your Organizer account.
- Navigate to Registration > Ticket/Registration.
- To create a new ticket, click Add Ticket.
- To edit an existing ticket, click the gear icon next to the ticket name and select Edit.
Access advanced options
- Scroll down to the bottom of the ticket creation/edit page.
- Click on the View Advanced Options link to reveal additional settings for the ticket.
Enable On-site sales only
- Under advanced options, look for the setting labeled "This ticket/registration type is for On-Site sales only".
- Check this box to make the ticket visible only to the event organizer or assigned team members.
Save the ticket
- Once you have selected the On-Site sales only option, save the changes by clicking Save or Update.
What happens after enabling this option?
Public event page: The ticket category marked for On-Site sales only will not be displayed on the public event page or during the online registration process.
Organizer account access: The ticket will be visible only on the "Add More Attendees" page when logged in through the event organizer's account.
Mobile app access: If you’re using the mobile app for on-site sales, the ticket will appear under the on-site sales section, making it accessible for quick registration of walk-in attendees.
These tickets can only be used by event organizers and authorized team users through the organizer's account or mobile app. Be sure to assign the correct roles to your team members for efficient registration.
This feature gives you more control over how tickets are distributed and helps manage exclusive attendee categories efficiently.
