Specify how the registration information is collected: Buyer only or all attendees

When customizing the registration form for your event, you have the option to choose whether the registration information is collected from the buyer (registrant) only, or from all the attendees or participants. This option helps tailor the data collection process based on your event needs. Here's how you can specify this.

The option to specify this is available on Registration > Registration form >Collect information from

Buyer / Registrant Only

This option is selected when you only need to collect registration details from the person purchasing the tickets (the buyer or registrant). Regardless of the number of tickets they select, the form will appear just once for the buyer, and their details will be recorded only once.

Use case: This is particularly useful when you don't need information from each individual attendee. For example, if you are organizing an event where only the buyer's information is relevant, such as a seminar where the buyer’s details are sufficient to manage the registration.

What happens: Even if the buyer purchases 10 tickets, the registration form will only appear once, and the buyer's information will be collected. Information for the additional attendees is not requested unless you specifically choose another option.

Buyer / Registrant and each attendee / participant

Choose this option when you need to collect registration information not only from the buyer but also from each attendee or participant. The form will be displayed multiple times, once for each ticket purchased, allowing you to gather specific details from everyone attending the event.

Use case: This is ideal when individual information from every attendee is necessary, such as collecting details for a conference with multiple sessions, group events, or events requiring specific attendee preferences (e.g., meal choices, special accommodations).

What happens: If the buyer registers 10 tickets, the registration form will be presented 10 times, one for each ticket. Information will be collected from all attendees, ensuring that you have the required details for each participant.

Sending tickets to individual attendees: To send individual tickets to each attendee, it is required to choose the option to collect information from the buyer/registrant and each attendee/participant. This ensures that all attendees have their own registration details and can receive their tickets individually.

By selecting the appropriate option for your event, you can streamline the registration process and ensure that you collect the right amount of information from the right people.
