Add Presenters and turn on engagement tools

Eventzilla Webinars allow you to involve multiple presenters and interact with attendees during your live session.

You can add presenters to your webinar, enable Chat and Q&A directly from Eventzilla, and access additional engagement features such as Polls, Handouts, Offers & CTAs, Surveys, and Reactions through Joinlive.

Add Presenters to Your Webinar

You can invite up to 5 presenters to participate in an Eventzilla Webinar.

Presenters are invited as Joinlive collaborators, allowing them to participate in the webinar and collaborate with the host during the live session.

This is useful when your webinar includes multiple speakers, panelists, subject-matter experts, or co-hosts.

Add a presenter

  1. Open your webinar and go to the Presenters section.
  2. Click Add a presenter.
  3. Select a presenter from the list of presenters you have used for previous events.
  4. If the presenter is new, add their details using the available option.
  5. Send the invitation.

The presenter will receive an invitation to join the webinar as a Joinlive collaborator.

Reusing a previous presenter

If you have already added a presenter to another event, you can select that presenter instead of entering their information again.

This makes it easier to set up webinars with speakers who regularly participate in your events.

Presenter access

Invited presenters can participate in the webinar based on the access provided to them as Joinlive collaborators.

Before the webinar, make sure all presenters have received their invitations and are ready to join the session.

Engage With Attendees During the Webinar

Eventzilla provides built-in engagement options that you can enable while configuring your webinar.

The two primary engagement tools available directly in Eventzilla are:

  • Chat
  • Q&A

These tools allow presenters to communicate with attendees and manage questions during the live session.

Chat

Enable Chat to allow attendees to send messages during the webinar.

Chat can be used for general interaction between attendees and presenters. For example, attendees can use chat to:

  • Share comments or feedback
  • Participate in discussions
  • Interact with presenters

Chat is particularly useful when you want to encourage ongoing interaction rather than limiting attendee participation to formal questions.

Enable Chat

When configuring your webinar, enable the Chat option under Engagement Tools.

Once enabled, attendees can use the chat functionality during the live webinar.

Q&A

Enable Q&A to provide attendees with a dedicated space to submit questions to the presenters.

Unlike general chat, Q&A is specifically intended for questions related to the webinar content.

This can make it easier for presenters to identify and respond to attendee questions, particularly during larger webinars where the chat may contain many messages.

When to use Q&A

Q&A is useful for:

  • Product demonstrations
  • Training sessions
  • Educational webinars
  • Expert presentations
  • Panel discussions

You can enable Q&A along with Chat if you want attendees to have both general conversation and a dedicated question channel.

Use More Engagement Tools in Joinlive

For webinars that require more interactive experiences, you can open your webinar in Joinlive.

Joinlive provides additional engagement tools that go beyond the basic Chat and Q&A options available in Eventzilla.

These include:

  • Polls
  • Handouts
  • Offers & CTAs
  • Surveys
  • Reactions

These tools can help presenters keep attendees involved throughout the webinar and encourage participation.

Polls

Use Polls to ask attendees questions during the webinar and collect their responses.

You can create polls before the webinar, launch them during the live session, and share the live results with attendees.

Polls can be useful for:

  • Gathering audience opinions
  • Checking attendee understanding
  • Conducting quick surveys
  • Starting discussions
  • Making presentations more interactive

For example, a presenter can launch a poll after explaining a topic and use the responses to continue the discussion based on audience feedback.

Handouts

Use Handouts to provide downloadable files and resources to attendees during the webinar.

Handouts can include supporting materials such as:

  • Presentation documents
  • Guides
  • Worksheets
  • Reference materials
  • Product information
  • Additional resources

Adding handouts gives attendees access to useful material without requiring the presenter to share files separately during the session.

Offers & CTAs

Use Offers & CTAs (Calls to Action) to encourage attendees to take a specific action during the webinar.

For example, a presenter could use a CTA to encourage attendees to:

  • Visit a webpage
  • Register for another event
  • Download a resource
  • Learn more about a product or service
  • Take advantage of a special offer

Offers and CTAs can be displayed during the live webinar so that attendees can act while they are engaged with the presentation.

Surveys

Joinlive also provides Surveys as an additional engagement option.

Surveys can be used to collect structured feedback from attendees and understand their experience or opinions.

For example, you can use a survey to gather feedback about:

  • The webinar content
  • The presenter
  • The overall attendee experience
  • Topics attendees would like to see in future sessions
